Use | Uses Acetylpenicillamine is mainly used for autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, chronic persistent hepatitis, scleroderma, dry mouth and eyes arthritis syndrome. It is also widely used in hepatolenticular degeneration caused by the deposition of copper ions in various tissues, and has detoxification effect on lead and mercury poisoning. Acetylpenicillamine is an intermediate compound for the preparation of penicillamine. |
