(R)-3-Carboxymorpholine is an organic compound with the molecular formula C5H9NO2 and the structural formula CH3CH(OH)CH(COOH)NH2.

Nature:
(R)-3-carboxymorpholine is a colorless crystal or a white powder with low solubility. It is a chiral compound with optical rotation and can rotate the direction of plane polarized light. Its melting point is 185-190°C.

Use:

3. Finally, (R)-2-hydroxy-2-methoxypentanone is reacted with dilute acid for carboxylation to obtain (R)-3-carboxymorpholine.
