| In vitro study | Palonosetron is a highly efficient and highly selective second-generation 5-HT3 receptor antagonist, and its binding affinity to 5-HT3 receptor is 100 times higher than that of other 5-HT3 receptor antagonists (Palonosetron pK I is 10.5, while granisron pK I is 8.91, tropisetron pK I 8.81 ,ondansetron pK I 8.39, dolasetron pK I 7.6). The plasma half-life of Palonosetron is longer than that of the same antagonist, about 40 hours (ondansetron, 4 hours; tropisetron, 7.3 hours; dolasetron, 7.5 hours; ranisetron, 8.9 hours). |
