1,1,1-TRICHLORO-2-METHYL-2-PROPANOL HEMIHYDRATE - Introduction
There are two kinds of crystals containing half molecules, water type and anhydrous type. They are easily soluble in ethanol (1:1), glycerin (1:10), ether, chloroform and volatile oil. They are easy to sublimate when heated and can volatilize with water vapor. It smells like camphor. Co-study with antipyrine (Antipyrine), menthol or phenol to form a liquid or solid knot into a block. Soluble in hot water, alcohol and glycerol, 1g can be dissolved in 1ml ethanol or 10ml glycerol, soluble in chloroform, ether, acetone, petroleum ether, glacial acetic acid and oils. Toxic, minimum lethal dose (dog, oral) 238mg/kg
