1-(Methanesulfonyl)-1H-benzotriazole is an organic compound with the chemical formula C9H8N3O3S. It is a white crystalline solid, insoluble in water, but soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and dimethyl sulfite.
1-(Methanesulfonyl)-1H-benzotriazole has antibacterial and antifungal activities, so it is widely used in the field of medicine. It can be used as a synthetic intermediate for antibiotics, antiparasitic and antitumor drugs. In addition, it can also be used in the manufacture of fungicides and herbicides in agriculture.
