Use | ethylaminothiazole can be used as an intermediate in organic synthesis, in laboratory research and development, and in chemical and pharmaceutical synthesis. |
preparation | ethylene acetate tetrahydrate (120g), acetic acid (1000 mL) and acetic anhydride (100 ml) the mixture was stirred in an oil bath heated to 130 °c to 135 °c for 20 minutes, and potassium permanganate (20g) was added to the mixture in 5 minutes with stirring at 105 °c to 110 °c, the mixture was then further stirred at 130 °c to 135 °c for 30 minutes. The mixture was cooled to room temperature, and ethyl 2-(2-formylaminothiazol-4-yl) acetate (53.5g) was added to the mixture. The mixture was then stirred for 15 hours at a rate of 6000ml at 38 °c to 40 °c with introduction of air. Every minute. After the reaction, the precipitate was collected by filtration. The precipitate was washed successively with acetic acid and water and then dried to give ethyl 2-(2-formylaminothiazol-4-yl) glyoxylate (ethylaminothiazole, 41.5g), melting point 232-233 °c (decomposition). |
