In vitro study | HA14-1 is a Bcl-2 small non-peptide ligand with a molecular weight of 409 and an IC50 of about 9 μm. HA14-1 induces apoptosis in HL-60 cells by activating caspase in a dose-dependent manner. HA14-1 acted on follicular lymphoma cell lines HF1A3, HF4.9, and HF28RA, and was cytotoxic with LC50 of 4.5 μm, 12.6 μm, and 8.1 μm, respectively. HA14-1 induced apoptosis of HF1A3, HF4.9 and HF28RA cells by caspase and ROS. |
In vivo study | HA14-1(400 nM) treatment of immunodeficient mice did not have any significant effect on glioblastoma growth. However, HA14-1(400 nM) promoted the effect of the DNA damaging agent Etoposide (2.5 mg/kg) on glioblastoma growth in vivo. |
Safety Description | S22 - Do not breathe dust. S24/25 - Avoid contact with skin and eyes. |
