production method

from chloromethylation of p-nitrotoluene with dichloromethyl ether. P-nitrotoluene and dichloromethyl ether were put into the reaction pan, and the temperature was adjusted to 25-30 ℃. Chlorosulfonic acid was added dropwise with stirring for about 1.5-2H, the temperature was maintained at 28-32 ℃, and stirring was continued for 2.5-3H. After cooling overnight at room temperature, the reaction solution was poured into crushed ice on the next day and stirred constantly. The reaction solution was oily and settled at the bottom, and washed with fresh ice water to precipitate a solid. It is filtered, washed, dried, and then recrystallized with ethanol to obtain the finished product.
