2-Thioanisole Phenylborate, also known as methylthioo-boric acid benzene, chemical formula C7H9BO2S, is an organic boron compound.
Nature:
2-Thioanisole phenyl borate is a colorless crystal powder with unique Sulfanyl functional groups and benzene ring structure. It is stable at room temperature and soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and methanol.
Use:
2-Thioanisole phenol is commonly used as a reagent and reagent intermediate in organic synthesis, and has a wide range of applications:
1. It can be used for the synthesis of catalysts, especially for catalytic coupling reactions in organic synthesis reactions, such as Suzuki coupling, Stile coupling, etc.
2. 2-Thioanisole Phenylborate can also be used to prepare Novel organic materials, such as optical materials, molecular sensors, etc.
Method:
The preparation of 2-Thioanisole Phenylborate is generally carried out by a boranation reaction. First, Phenylboronic acid is reacted with sodium formifide in acetonitrile to give 2-Thioanisole Phenylborate sodium salt. It is then reacted with an acid to remove the methylthio Group to produce 2-Thioanisole Phenylborate.
Safety Information:
2-Thioanisole Phenylborate is relatively safe under normal use conditions. But because it is a chemical reagent, it should follow the safety regulations of chemical experiments when using it. Wear protective gloves, goggles and protective clothing if necessary. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and inhalation of dust. Such as inadvertent inhalation or contact, should be promptly washed, and medical advice.
