use | pharmaceutical intermediates. |
production method | obtained from bromination of acetyl propanol. Add sodium bromide to water and stir to dissolve. Add sulfuric acid and control 75 ℃ for 1h. Add acetyl alcohol at 75-85 ℃, and keep the temperature to 90 ℃ for half an hour. Cold to 35 ℃, add water to 20 ℃, let stand, separate the organic phase, neutralize with sodium carbonate solution to pH 7, and let stand to remove the water layer to obtain 5-bromo-2-pentanone. 84% yield. |
