Method:
The preparation of (2S,3S)-2-choro-3-methyl-n-valeric ACID can be carried out by the following steps:
1. Under appropriate reaction conditions, 2-methyl pentanoic acid was reacted with cuprous chloride to obtain 2-methyl Glutaric acid chloride.
2. 2-methylglutaric ACID chloride is reacted with an enantioselective reducing agent in the presence of sodium carbonate to obtain (2S,3S)-2-chloroo-3-methyl-n-valeric ACID.
