use | ethyl 5-bromo-2-methylnicotinate is a carboxylate derivative and can be used as a pharmaceutical intermediate. |
preparation | 4. 9 g5-bromo -2-methyl nicotinate (0. 04 mol), absolute ethanol 40 mL, corresponding amount of concentrated sulfuric acid and phase transfer catalyst are sequentially added into 250 mL three-mouth bottle. The stirrer and distillation device are respectively installed. Heat under stirring, gradually heat up, evaporate the ethanol to the required liquid temperature, stop heating, naturally cool down, pour out at about 50°C, and the reactants are white solids at room temperature. Neutralize the product with saturated sodium carbonate aqueous solution to a pH of about 7 (if the volume is too large, some solid sodium carbonate can be added), extract it with 20 mL chloroform, merge the organic layers and transfer it to a vacuum distillation flask, first recover chloroform at normal pressure, then distill 5-bromo -2-methyl ethyl nicotinate under vacuum, collect 92 ~ 95°C fraction at 1. 06 kPa, weigh it, and calculate the yield. |
