chemical properties | the melting point of this product is 192-193 ℃. |
use | used in the production of penicillin sodium. |
production method | obtained by hydrolysis after cyclization of benzoxime and ethyl acetoacetate. Stir and mix ethyl acetoacetate with benzoxime ethanol solution, cool to 0 ℃, add sodium hydroxide solution to adjust the pH to 7-8, due to the exothermic reaction, need to cool at about 10 ℃. Then continue to adjust to pH 9-9.5, and react at about 10 ℃ for 4 hours. Add sodium hydroxide solution, heat up and steam out ethanol until 110 ℃, cool, add water, stir and reflux for 3 hours. Acidize with hydrochloric acid to pH = 6, remove the oil layer, add activated carbon to decolorise, filter, and adjust the filtrate to pH = 3.8 with hydrochloric acid. Filtration, washing the filter cake to neutral, vacuum drying, 5-methyl -3-phenyl -4-isoxazole acid. |
