| preparation | weigh 1.75g of vitamin B1 dissolved in 5ml of distilled water, 10ml of 2-thiophenecarboxaldehyde and 10ml of 95% ethanol, they were placed together in a three-necked flask with a reflux condenser and cooled in an ice-water bath. 5ml of triethylamine was added dropwise and the solution turned black. After the addition, the ice water bath was removed, heated slowly with an oil bath, and refluxed for 2H. It was cooled to room temperature, neutralized with 10% hydrochloric acid until the solution turned red, supplemented with 15ml of distilled water and frozen in the refrigerator overnight. The liquid was decanted, the solid was washed with cold ethanol, and recrystallized from ethanol to obtain 1.2g of yellowish crystals in a yield of 15%. |
