9-Fluorenone-2-Carboxylic Acid - Production method
Stir 2-acetylfluorene and glacial acetic acid together and heat to dissolve it. Add powdered sodium dichromate dihydrate in stages, heat and reflux, and add acetic anhydride dropwise within 1.5h. Then pour the hot mixture into hot water, stir the suspension, filter, wash the filter cake with 2% sulfuric acid, add the filter cake to 5% potassium hydroxide solution, stir, heat to about 80 ℃, filter, and then wash with potassium hydroxide solution. Heat the potassium salt solution to 70 ℃, stir, add 18% hydrochloric acid dropwise, heat to 85 ℃, and precipitate fluorenone -2-carboxylic acid. After boiling, filtering, washing the free potassium chloride in the acid with hot water, and drying to obtain the finished product.
