Abstract:
In this paper, the properties and unique uses of ammonium metatungstate are discussed, and its preparation principle is analyzed. The advantages and disadvantages of various preparation methods and equipment of ammonium metatungstate in recent years are emphatically reviewed. It is considered that the thermal degradation method using ammonium paratungstate as raw material is the most competitive method at present.

Abstract:
ammonium metatungstate (AMT) is one of the precursors of tungsten carbide (WC) catalyst. The surface morphology and particle size distribution of WC particles are affected by the properties of the precursor, and ultimately affect its catalytic activity. The working principle of air flow spray drying and centrifugal spray drying was introduced. AMT microspheres with different morphologies were successfully prepared by two different spray methods, and the morphology and particle size of the microspheres were studied. The results show that the powder is solid spherical after centrifugal spray drying, and hollow spherical after air flow spray drying. The effects of feed concentration, feed rate and surfactant on the particle size of AMT microspheres were investigated under the condition of airflow spray drying. The results show that the feed concentration has the greatest influence on the particle size of the microspheres. Under different drying conditions, the minimum median diameter (d50) of the prepared spherical powder is 2.26 μm. The above results are spray microspheres. The preparation of mesoporous hollow spherical WC catalyst by gas-solid reaction and the control of its morphology and particle size provide a reference.

Abstract:
A new process for the preparation of ammonium metatungstate by bipolar membrane electrodialysis was proposed. The results show that the bipolar membrane electrodialysis can effectively convert ammonium tungstate solution into ammonium metatungstate solution, the process runs stably, the current efficiency reaches 73.84%, and the DC power consumption per ton of WO3 is only 864.3 · h, the yield of WO3 was more than 99.5%. The new process directly uses industrial ammonium tungstate solution as raw material, which has the characteristics of low raw material cost, high yield, good product quality and environmental friendliness.Key words:
