Introduction | Barium azide, also known as "barium nitride", decomposes into barium hydroxide and ammonia in water. Barium azide, as a new type of lamp degassing agent with superior performance, is adopted by more and more light source manufacturers to replace the traditional degassing agent. What is more prominent is that in recent years, the automobile bubble production lines introduced from Taiwan and South Korea, the 110V starter production lines, and some holiday bubble and decorative bubble production lines have to use barium azide as the degassing agent, and the amount is increasing day by day. The barium azide used in China is all imported, and because it is dangerous goods, it is not imported by the national foreign trade agency, which causes great difficulties to the user. |
use | barium azide is a non-evaporative degassing agent, which is mainly used for various inflatable incandescent lamps, such as ordinary lighting lamps, infrared lamps, instrument lamps, photographic lamps, condenser lamps, photographic lamps, automobile, tractor, motorcycle lamps, etc. It can also be used as degassing agent for self-ballasted high-pressure mercury lamp shell. barium azide is used as electron emission material for 110V fluorescent lamp starter and has degassing effect. Used as a low-luminous degassing agent, it can extend the life of the filament several times. |
preparation | a production process of barium azide, the weight ratio of each component, sodium azide: sodium hydroxide: sulfuric acid solution: barium hydroxide = 1: 0.33: 6: 2.4, the production process is divided into (1) taking sodium azide and sodium hydroxide,(2) installing a dropping funnel and a condenser, and the condenser is connected to the two flasks,(3) add 40% sulfuric acid solution dropwise, when the temperature reaches 105 ℃, stop heating distillation,(4) continue stirring,(5) filtration,(6) concentration or recrystallization of mother liquor to obtain barium azide,(7) vacuum low temperature drying;(8) sieving,(9) packing after determination. It has the characteristics of simple and superior process and reliable product performance. The specific steps are as follows: 15 grams of barium azide and 5 grams of sodium hydroxide are put into a 250 ml three-mouth distillation flask and dissolved with 100 ml of water, a dropping funnel and a condenser are installed, one end of the condenser is connected with a 500ml two-mouth flask with stirring, the flask contains 36 grams of barium hydroxide (8 crystal water) and 200 ml of water, and the above three-mouth flask is heated to boil the solution of sodium azide and sodium hydroxide, then drop 90 ml of 40% sulfuric acid solution, continue heating and distillation until the temperature of the solution in the three distillation flasks reaches 105 ℃, stop heating and distillation, continue stirring the solution in the two flasks for 10 minutes, and then filter to obtain anhydrous barium azide. The mother liquor is concentrated with a water-cooled rotary evaporator to obtain barium azide monohydrate. The above anhydrous barium azide and barium azide monohydrate are dried in vacuum and low temperature respectively. 100 mesh sieving, A total of 25.4 grams of barium azide was obtained. |
