BOC-2-AMINO-4-THIAZOLE-CARBIXYLIC ACID - Introduction

2-[(tert-butoxycarbonyl)amino]-1,3-thiazole-4-carboxylic acid is an organic compound with the formula C9H12N2O4S. It is a white to pale yellow solid, soluble in some organic solvents such as dimethyl sulfoxide and methylene chloride.

This compound is often used as an intermediate in organic synthesis. It can be prepared by synthesis of aminothiazole and temporary protection reaction. Its protecting group-BOC(tert-butoxycarbonyl) can be removed when needed.
