biological activity | 4-Bromo-3-hydroxybenzoic acid is a Brocresine metabolite and a histidine decarboxylase (HDC) inhibitor. The IC50 of HDC in rat fetuses and rats is 1 mM. 4-Bromo-3-hydroxybenzoic acid can also inhibit aromatic L-amino acid decarboxylase (aromatic-L-amino acid decarboxylase) in pig kidney and rat gastric mucosa in vitro, and the IC50 of both enzymes is 1 mM. |
