| Preparation | The ammonia gas is bubbled through a solution of 30 ml of dimethylaniline borane (containing 70 mmol borane) in 30 ml of toluene until all dimethylaniline is consumed. The reaction was monitored by 11B NMR spectroscopy. The removal of dimethylaniline and toluene was then carried out by filtering the white solid ammonia borane, which was washed with toluene 3 times. The product is dried under vacuum. |
