Physical and Chemical Properties | Brown-black powder. Soluble in acetone, insoluble in toluene, alcohol solution is cherry red. When the aqueous solution is hot, it is purple-black, initially red-brown after hydrochloric acid is added, and then the precipitate is brown-black; When sodium hydroxide is added, it is dark blue, then cherry-red. The sulfuric acid solution was dark blue and was diluted with water to precipitate a purple-black precipitate. |
Use | Do the complexometric titration indicator. When used, it is prepared into an alcohol solution or an aqueous solution for the determination of calcium, magnesium, manganese, zinc and other metal ions, and the determination of water hardness. |
