Abstract:
Pentaerythritol esters of stearic acid and 2-ethylhexanoic acid were synthesized. The effects of two kinds of esters on the thermal stability and pressure separation of PVC (polyvinyl chloride), the effects of esterification degree of fatty acid pentaerythritol ester and carbon chain length of fatty acid on the stability of PVC were investigated. The results showed that the stability of pentaerythritol ester prepared with 2-ethylhexanoic acid was relatively good.Key words:

Abstract:
The fatty acid pentaerythritol ester was synthesized with fatty acid and pentaerythritol as raw materials, trimethylbenzene as water-carrying agent and SO4 ^ 2-/ZrO2-Al2O3 solid superacid as catalyst. The experimental results show that when the esterification temperature (180-200)℃, the molar ratio of alcohol to acid is 1:5.6, the amount of catalyst is 0.9% of the total amount of raw materials and the reaction time is 4H, the best reaction result was obtained, and the esterification rate was 99.88%. IR spectra showed that the absorption peak of hydroxyl group in the product disappeared basically, which proved that the esterification reaction was sufficient and complete.Key words:

Abstract:
In this paper, a kind of lubricant base oil, fatty acid pentaerythritol ester, was synthesized by the reaction of mixed fatty acids composed of oleic acid and stearic acid with pentaerythritol under solvent-free conditions, the effect of the type and amount of catalyst, reaction temperature on the esterification reaction. The optimum reaction conditions were as follows: the molar ratio of oleic acid, stearic acid and pentaerythritol was 0 .3.5:0.05: 0 .1 2, tributyl phosphate as Catalyst, the amount of catalyst is 0.20%, the reaction temperature is 20 ℃, the reaction time is 5HR, the esterification rate is more than 96%, the product is transparent golden yellow oily liquid, the acid value is low, the extreme pressure performance is good, without treatment can be directly used as lubricant base oil. The process is simple, low cost, no environmental pollution, worthy of promotion.
