In vivo study | The effects of Doxylamine (in the succinate form) on microsomal enzyme activity and serum thyroid hormone levels were examined in B6C3F1 mice with food intake for 7 or 15 days (dietary 0, 40, 375, 750, or 1500 ppm, as the free base doxylamine). This result shows that doxylamine is a barbiturate inducer of hepatic microsomal cytochrome P450Â in B6C3F1 mice and is consistent with the hypothesis that doxylamine increases the activity of hepatic enzymes involved in T4 metabolism. |
