production method | is obtained by esterification of benzoic acid with N-octanol. Benzoic acid, n-octanol, benzene and concentrated sulfuric acid were added to the glass-lined reaction pot, and heated and refluxed slowly. The distilled benzene water was returned to the reaction pot after water separation until water separation was completed. The recovered benzene is then distilled off, and the residue is subjected to caustic washing, water washing, drying, and distillation to obtain a finished product. |
