Physical and Chemical Properties | Streptokinase is a white or white amorphous powder, soluble in water and physiological saline, very unstable in dilute solution. The aqueous solution should be placed in the refrigerator for more than 12h, and should be used immediately at room temperature. The optimum pH was 7.3~7.6, when the solution was in pH 5.0, reversible inactivation could occur, and irreversible inactivation occurred above pH 9.0. Powder in 2 ~ 80C, sealed preservation of up to 2 years. This product itself has no enzyme activity, it interacts with the plasminogen activator in the blood to form a complex, only with the nature of the protease, so that the fibrinogen is converted into fibrinolytic enzyme, the thrombus may be disintegrated either by external dissolution of the thrombus due to activation of the fibrinolytic system within the plasma or by incorporation of the fibrin within the blood clot into the interior of the fresh thrombus. This product should not be vigorously shaken when dissolved, so as not to reduce the vitality. |
