| use | for organic synthesis. |
| production method | the mixture of trimethylamine, diiodomethane, dioxane and anhydrous ethanol is placed in the dark and reacted at room temperature for 100h, the crystals formed are filtered, washed with ethanol and ether in turn, and dried in vacuum at 70 ℃ to obtain iodimethyl trimethyl ammonium iodide. Heat it together with sulfolane, keep it at 160 ℃ for 12min, filter the precipitated crystals, wash it with carbon tetrachloride, and dry it in vacuum at 50 ℃ to obtain the finished product. |
