Overview | rivanol is a lactate-hydrate of alpha-ethoxy-6, 9-diaminoacridine, it is a bactericidal preservative for external use, which has a strong killing effect on Gram-positive bacteria and a few gram-negative bacteria, and has a good antibacterial effect on cocci, especially streptococcus, and has a strong activity in alkaline environment. This product is irritant, the treatment concentration of general tissue without damage, but can stimulate the uterine smooth muscle contraction, softening, relaxation of the cervix, so it can be used for the induction of labor in women with no obvious side effects. |
Main use and usage | 1. Various wounds, skin and mucous membrane exudation, erosion and infection of the wound: 0.1% ~ 0.3% solution to wash or wet compress infected wounds; Or 0.1%, 0.5% ointment for external application of the wound. 2. Induction of labor in the second trimester of pregnancy: use this product to prepare 0.2% of the injection (can be diluted by Sterile Water for Injection) through the lower abdominal wall for intra-amniotic injection, more than 20 weeks of pregnancy each 10 ml, under 20 weeks of pregnancy, 5 ml each time. A dose of up to 50~100 mg, but the maximum amount of 120 mg. The output is about 42 hours after General Administration. If the output is not obtained for more than 48 hours, the second injection or other method may be used, the 0.1% solution was injected into the uterine cavity with a catheter, and the catheter was retained for 24 hours and then removed. |
adverse reactions | Generally, the commonly used concentration has no damage to tissues, and long-term use may delay wound healing. A small number of patients with skin irritation response, should be discontinued. |
note | 1. Aqueous solution in the preservation process, especially under exposure, can be decomposed to produce highly toxic products, if the naked eye observation of the solution is Brown green, it is confirmed that the decomposition. 2. This product is easy to precipitate and precipitate when mixed with alkali or iodine solution. 3. Long-term use of this product may delay wound healing. |
