Ethylene Urea-d4 - Introduction
Ethylene Urea-d4 (dipolyvinylurea-d4) is a chemical substance whose properties and uses are as follows:
Nature:
-Appearance is colorless or light yellow liquid.
-Its chemical formula is C2D4N2O2, where D4 means that all four hydrogen atoms in the urea molecule are replaced with deuterium.
-It has high solubility and can be dissolved in a variety of solvents, such as water, alcohols, ethers and ketones.
-It is stable at room temperature, but will decompose at high temperature.
Use:
- Ethylene Urea-d4 is mainly used as a labeling reagent and an isotope labeling reagent.
-It can be used as a labeling agent for hydrogen atoms in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experiments.
-Due to the presence of deuterium atoms, it can be used to study the reaction mechanism, chemical structure and metabolic kinetics.
Method:
- Ethylene Urea-d4 can be synthesized by reacting normal Ethylene Urea (dipolyethylene Urea) with deuterium gas.
-During the synthesis process, deuterium gas will replace the hydrogen atoms in Ethylene urea to obtain Ethylene Urea-d4.
Safety Information:
- Ethylene Urea-d4 is safe for humans and the environment under general conditions.
-But it is still a chemical substance and should follow safe operating procedures.
-During operation, avoid inhalation, contact with skin and eyes, and pay attention to good ventilation.
-In case of accidental exposure, rinse the affected area immediately with plenty of water and seek medical help if necessary.
