Formamide,Deionized - Introduction
Deionated formamide is a colorless, odorless organic compound with the chemical formula C3H4NO2. It is a highly hydrophilic ionic liquid with good solubility. It can form ionic adducts with many inorganic salts and organic compounds, and can be used as solvents, catalysts, ionic liquid electrolytes, etc.
The preparation method of deionized formamide can be prepared by the reaction of sodium cyanate and ammonia. Sodium cyanoformate was first dissolved in a small amount of water and then ammonia was slowly added. After completion of the reaction, the reaction solution was filtered, and the pH was adjusted to neutral with concentrated hydrochloric acid, and then the solution was concentrated with anhydrous ethanol to obtain deionized formamide.
Safety precautions are required when using and handling deionized formamide. It is highly corrosive and irritating, and contact with skin and eyes may cause burns and irritation. Wear protective gloves, goggles and protective clothing during operation to avoid direct contact with skin and eyes. Maintain a well-ventilated laboratory environment during use and store it in a closed container, away from fire sources and oxidants. Relevant laws and regulations shall be followed during waste disposal.
