biological activity | Gadopentetic acid (Gd-DTPA) is a paramagnetic contrast agent, usually by intravenous injection (I. v.) used in the DCE-MRI study. Initial concentration of gadopental acid (Gd-DTPA) in plasma. ([Gd-DTPA 0]) is an important parameter of DCE-MRI. [Gd-DTPA 0] correlates with the injected dose used and varies by subject. The dose of 0.025 mmol/kg Gd-DTPA can shorten the collection time and reduce the use time of the subjects. The Half-Life is 37 mins, the average residence time is 53.8 mins, and the AUC is 3.37 mmol/min/L. |
uses | metal ion complexes widely used in magnetic resonance imaging for the diagnosis of brain tumors, central nervous system diseases, liver tumors, pituitary adenoma, multiple sclerosis and blood-brain barrier damage. |
production method | is used as a water-soluble paramagnetic relaxation reagent in nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy studies. Gd-DTPA for short. Preparation Method 5g of Gd 2 O 3 was suspended in 60ml of water and added to 11g of H 5 (DTPA), and the resulting suspension was stirred and heated gently. Approximately 10h, all of the starting material had dissolved. After the solution had cooled to room temperature, 150ml of acetone was added, at which time a white precipitate formed in the form of a gel. The product is obtained by filtration and vacuum drying in the presence of phosphorus pentoxide. |
