In vitro study | GM6001 inhibits human skin fibroblast collagenase. When tested with a synthetic thioester substrate at pH 6.5, K I is 0.4 nM, which is more selective than the two biological enzymes, thermolysin and Pseudomonas aeruginosa elastase were 50 times higher. GM 6001 (0.1 nM - 10 nM) inhibits the production of gelatinase A and gelatinase B by T cells, thereby inhibiting T cell homing. |
In vivo study | Topical use of GM6001 (400 μg/ml) can prevent corneal ulcers after severe alkali burns. In the stented rabbit model, GM6001 significantly inhibited intimal hyperplasia and inner collagen content, and it increased the lumen area of the dilated artery without affecting the proliferation rate. |
