Imazamox Methyl Ester - Introduction
Imazamox Methyl Ester(Imazamox Methyl Ester) is a commonly used pesticide active ingredient. It is the methyl ester compound of imazethapyr (a Glyphosate pesticide) and has a similar mechanism of action and plant herbicidal activity.
The appearance of Imazamox Methyl Ester is colorless or light yellow liquid, the molecular formula is C16H21N5O3, and the relative molecular mass is 335.37. It has low solubility in water, but good solubility in non-polar solvents.
Imazamox Methyl Ester is mainly used as a herbicide to control weeds in agricultural crops such as soybeans, crops and wheat. It blocks the biosynthesis of amino acids by inhibiting the activity of nitric oxide synthase (ALS), causing weed death.
The method for preparing Imazamox Methyl Ester is usually obtained by reacting imazethapyr with methanol, and esterifying the two under appropriate conditions.
Regarding safety information, you need to pay attention to the following when using and storing Imazamox Methyl Ester:
-High toxicity to humans, skin contact and inhalation may cause irritation and poisoning. Use should wear appropriate protective equipment, especially respiratory protection.
-Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. If in contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
-In use should follow the safety procedures, to ensure good ventilation conditions.
-Keep away from fire and oxidant during storage and handling, and avoid exposure to high temperature and direct sunlight.
-Food, beverages and animal feed should not come into contact with this substance.
