| production method | preparation method: place 1080 g of glacial acetic acid and 360 g of acetic anhydride in a 2 L round bottom flask, add 600 g of Pb 3 O 4 in small amounts under stirring, maintain the temperature not exceeding 65 o C, raise the temperature to 65 o C after adding, and continue stirring until the solid is completely dissolved. Cool to room temperature, filter, wash with glacial acetic acid to obtain about 300 g of solid, and dry in a vacuum dryer (Formula 1) [1]. The mother liquor is returned to the original reaction bottle, heated to 80 o C, mixed with dry chlorine gas, filtered out lead chloride while hot after the reaction, and washed with glacial acetic acid. The filtrate is cooled and filtered, and the solid is recrystallized with glacial acetic acid to obtain a part of lead tetraacetate (Formula 2). |
