Lithium (trimethylsilyl)acetylide, also known as TMSCC-Li, are organic compounds containing lithium. The following is a description of its nature, use, preparation and safety information.

Nature:
-Appearance: The TMSCC-Li is usually a light yellow to dark yellow solid.
-Solubility: TMSCC-Li has good solubility in anhydrous organic solvents.

Use:
-As a synthetic chemical reagent, TMSCC-Li can be used in carbon-carbon bond formation reactions in organic synthesis.
- TMSCC-Li can react with halogenated hydrocarbons, nitrile compounds, esters and other substrates to generate the corresponding acetylides.
- TMSCC-Li can also be used to synthesize organometallic compounds containing alkynyl groups.

Preparation Method:
-The preparation of TMSCC-Li is generally obtained by reacting trimethylsilylacetylene with an organolithium reagent. The reaction conditions may be low temperature, such as below -78°C, to control side reactions of the reaction.
