-Odor: Strong fishy smell.
-Density: about 1.008g/cm³.
-Melting point:-4.5 ℃.
-Boiling point: 31.2 ℃.
-Solubility: Soluble in water, alcohols and ether solvents.
Use:
-Chemical synthesis: Methylhydroxylamine can be used as an intermediate in the synthesis of organic compounds, widely used in pesticides, dyes and pharmaceuticals.
-ion exchange resin repair agent: methyl hydroxylamine can be used as a repair has been used for salt, in addition to silver, in addition to iron plasma exchange resin regeneration agent.
-Photosensitive material: Methylhydroxylamine can be used to prepare photosensitive dyes and photopolymers, and is used in the preparation of photosensitive materials.
Preparation Method:
Generally, the preparation method of methyl hydroxylamine is as follows:
-Synthesis through the reaction of ammonia and formaldehyde: Dissolve ammonia in methanol, and add sodium carbonate as a catalyst to produce methylhydroxylamine through the oxidation reaction of formaldehyde at low temperature.
-Synthesis through the reaction of methyl ammonia and water peroxide: Dissolve methyl ammonia in water peroxide and react under appropriate temperature and pressure to generate methyl hydroxylamine.
Safety Information:
-Methylhydroxylamine is strongly irritating and corrosive, and has a stimulating effect on the skin and eyes. After contact, rinse with plenty of water immediately.
-Do not breathe its vapors. If inhaled overdose should be quickly removed from the scene, and immediately seek medical attention.
-Methylhydroxylamine may burn in the presence of high temperature, open flame or oxygen. Care should be taken to avoid contact with open flame and high temperature environment.
Wear personal protective equipment and follow safety procedures when using or handling methylhydroxylamine.
