In vivo study | Imidocarb dipropionate is administered by subcutaneous or intramuscular injection to horses (3.4 mg/kg bw) and cattle (2.I mg/kg bw). In horses, up to 4 doses may be given at 72-hour intervals. A second dose may be given 2 weeks after the first. Imidocarb dipropionate is also used in sheep (1. 2mg/kg bw) for the treatment of babesiosis and anaplasmosis. The acute oral LD 50 value of Imidocarb dipropionate is in the range of 646 to 723 mg/kg bw in mice. The acute oral LD 50 value of Imidocarb is in the range of 454 to 1251 mg/kg bw in rats. |

Overview | Midocalanedipropionate is a propionate of imidazobenzene urea. It is a chemical drug for a new type of antigenic insect for animals. Clinically, dipropionate or dihydrochloride is generally used to make preparations, which are injected intramuscularly or subcutaneously to treat and prevent various babesiasis, pyriformes, trypanosomes, and red bodies, various diseases caused by edge worms and Taylor worms. In the prior art, micdoka dipropionate is a non-sterile API, the preparation method is recrystallization after synthesis of imidobenzene urea and propionic acid in different organic solvents, this method requires a large amount of organic solvent, a large amount of recrystallization mother liquor causes a large amount of product loss, solvent recovery energy is higher. With the discovery of new clinical uses, such as the published preparation method of micdocal dipropionate for veterinary long-acting preparations and the published micdocal dipropionate for eperythrozoonosis Compound preparation and preparation method, etc. Non-sterile midocal dipropionate raw materials to prepare compound preparations are more difficult to produce. |
Biological activity | Imidocarb is an antigenic insect, which is used as dipropionate in the treatment of Babesiasis and Ehrlichiosis. |
