In vitro study | The EpCAM aptamer conjugated Neocarzinostatin (NCS) shows specificity to EpCAM-positive cells. The effects of the conjugates on cancer cells are impressive as the conjugate arrests the cell cycle and promoted apoptosis and necrosis. The high levels of PARP expression confirmed the DNA breaks upon conjugate treatment. NCS conjugated with EpCAM can be targeted to cancer cells sparing normal cells. The IC 50 values of Neocarzinostatin (72 hours) to C6 cells and U87MG cells were 493.64 nM, 462.96 nM, respectively. In human tumor cell lines of different tissue origins, sensitivity to neocarzinostatin is proportional to the product of the relative contents of Bcl-2 and caspase-3. |

NSC-157365 - Introduction
NEOCARZINOSTATIN, also known as a novel anticancer drug, is a class of compounds with anticancer activity. It is usually extracted from microorganisms (such as Streptomyces) or obtained by chemical synthesis.
NEOCARZINOSTATIN has the following properties:
1. Anticancer activity: NEOCARZINOSTATIN can inhibit the growth and division of cancer cells through various mechanisms, thereby inhibiting the development of tumors.
2. Broad spectrum: It can kill various types of cancer cells and has a good anti-tumor effect.
3. Solubility: NEOCARZINOSTATIN is usually a compound that is soluble in water or organic solvents, which is convenient for preparation and use.
The main use of NEOCARZINOSTATIN is to treat various types of cancer, such as breast cancer, lung cancer, colon cancer, etc. It can be used as a stand-alone drug or in combination with other chemotherapy drugs to enhance the therapeutic effect.
The preparation of NEOCARZINOSTATIN usually involves the following steps:
1. Microbial culture: the microorganism producing NEOCARZINOSTATIN is cultured in an appropriate medium to promote its growth and produce anti-cancer compounds.
2. Separation and purification: Through separation and purification technology, the target compound is extracted and purified from the culture.
3. Structural Identification: use chemical analysis methods, such as mass spectrometry, nuclear magnetic resonance, etc., to identify the structure of NEOCARZINOSTATIN.
Regarding safety information, NEOCARZINOSTATIN, as a potent anti-cancer drug, has certain toxicity. In the process of use, the following matters need to be paid attention:
1. Dose Control: must be in accordance with the doctor's advice and specific drug instructions prescribed dose use, not arbitrarily excessive use.
2. Adverse reactions: The use of NEOCARZINOSTATIN may cause some adverse reactions, such as nausea, vomiting, hair loss, bone marrow suppression, etc. In the process of use, it should be reported to the doctor in time and treated accordingly.
3. Safe operation: in the preparation and use of NEOCARZINOSTATIN, need to follow the relevant safety procedures, such as wearing protective gloves, masks, etc., to avoid contact and inhalation of drugs.
