Phenazine-1-carboxamide(Phenazine-1-carboxamide) is an organic compound with the chemical formula C13H8N2O.
Nature:
1. Appearance: The Phenazine-1-carboxamide is a white crystalline solid;
2. Melting Point: 214-216 degrees Celsius;
3. Insoluble in water, soluble in organic solvents such as alcohol, ether and ketone;
4. In the presence of platinum hexachloride, electrophilic aromatization reaction can be produced with pyridine.
Use:
1. As an organic synthesis intermediate, can be used to synthesize other compounds;
2. Used as electrocatalyst in some electrochemical fields.
Method:
Phenazine-1-carboxamide can be prepared by the following reaction:
1. First, the Phenazine and formamide solution are heated to react to generate phenazine -1-methyl ester;
2. Then, reacting phenazine -1-methyl ester with alkali to generate phenazine -1-carboxylic acid;
3. Finally, the phenazine -1-carboxylic acid is reacted with the activator to generate Phenazine-1-carboxamide.

Phenazine-1-carboxamide no apparent toxicity or danger under normal conditions of use, general laboratory safety practices must be followed to avoid contact with skin, inhalation or ingestion. If exposed, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical help.
