Use | PluriSIn #1 (NSC 14613) is a stearoyl-coA desaturase 1 (SCD1) inhibitor that selectively eliminates hPSCs. |
In vitro study | PluriSIns #1 acts on hPSCs with potent, rapid, selective cytotoxicity. PluriSIn #1 activated apoptosis is the central cell death mechanism. PluriSIn #1 acts on hPSCs, resulting in ER stress. PluriSIns #1(20 μm) induced a ~ 30% reduction in protein synthesis in hPSCs. The action of PluriSIns #1 on hPSCs induced a ~ 65% decrease in the activity of stearoyl-CoA dehydrogenase (SCD1). PluriSIns #1 (20 μm) inhibited the formation of teratomas by undifferentiated hPSCs, and PluriSIns also inhibited mPSCs and mouse embryonic development. |
