-reaction materials: diphenyl tetrahydrofuranone, potassium hydroxide and lithium (or sodium) tablets.
-Preparation step: First, diphenyl tetrahydrofuranone is reacted with potassium hydroxide to generate potassium diphenyl alkoxide (Potassium phenolate). The potassium diphenyl alkoxide is then reacted with the lithium (or sodium) sheet to form the Potassium diphenylphosphide.
