SKL1263 - Introduction
chloride is an organic compound whose chemical formula is C8H6ClFO2.
Nature:
-Appearance: Colorless to light yellow liquid
-Melting point: 22-25 ℃
-Boiling point: 148-151 ℃
-Density: 1.35g/cm³
-Good solubility in non-polar solvents, such as ether and dichloromethane
Use:
-chloride is an organic synthesis intermediate commonly used in the synthesis of pesticides, pharmaceuticals and other organic compounds.
-It can be used as a derivative of substituted benzoyl chloride for the synthesis of target compounds with specific physical and chemical properties.
Preparation Method:
The chloride is usually synthesized by the following methods:
1. reaction raw materials: 3-fluoro-4-methoxybenzoic acid and Thionyl chloride (sulfuryl chloride).
2. 3-fluoro-4-methoxybenzoic acid and an excess amount of sulfuryl chloride are put into a reaction vessel, and the reaction is heated, usually under an inert atmosphere.
3. After the reaction is completed, the solid impurities are filtered and distilled to obtain the target product-chloride.
Safety Information:
-chloride is an organic synthetic compound that may cause irritation to the skin, eyes and respiratory tract, so use personal protective equipment such as gloves, goggles and respiratory protection.
-During storage and handling, avoid contact with oxidants, strong acids or strong bases.
-If ingested or touched by mistake, seek medical attention immediately and show the compound's safety data sheet to the doctor.
