SPECTINOMYCIN SULPHATE - Determination of residual organic solvents in spectinomycin sulfate by gas chromatography

Abstract:
Objective to establish a method for the determination of residual organic solvents in spectinomycin sulfate. Methods headspace sampling capillary gas chromatography was used, the column was Elite-5 capillary column, the carrier gas was nitrogen, FID detector, n-propanol was the internal standard substance, pure water was the dissolution medium, the residual amount of acetone in spectinomycin sulfate was determined. Results acetone and N-propanol were completely separated, and there was a good linearity within the investigated concentration range (r = 0.9998). The limit of quantification of acetone was 6.88 × 106g · mL-1. The RSD of precision was 1.5%,0.8% and 0.5%, respectively, less than 5%. The average recovery was 97.15% ~ 100.63%, ranging from 97% to 103%. Conclusion The method is simple, sensitive, accurate and reliable. It is suitable for the determination of residual organic solvents in spectinomycin sulfate.Key words:
