Using methyl acrylate and chloroprene under pressure to produce a pair of chlorocyclohexene-3-carboxylic acid methyl ester, the latter is cyanated with copper cyanide to obtain p-cyanocyclohexene-3-carboxylic acid methyl ester, and then catalyzed hydrogenation to obtain the product.
