application | 4-trifluoromethoxyphenylhydrazine hydrochloride can be used as an organic synthesis intermediate and pharmaceutical intermediate, mainly used in laboratory research and development process and pharmaceutical and chemical production process. |
Preparation | The suspension of 4-trifluoromethoxyaniline (20 mmol) in water (65 mL) and concentrated HCl (25 mL) was cooled to 0-5°C. Sodium nitrite (1.55g, 22 mmol) in water (15 mL) was added dropwise to the suspension of 4-trifluoromethoxyaniline (20 mmol) in water (65 mL) and concentrated HCl (25 mL). The reaction mixture was stirred at 0-5°C for 45 minutes. Add SnCl2 (40 mmol) concentrated HCl (10 mL) solution to the reaction mixture. Add and let the temperature rise slowly until it reaches room temperature. Filter the suspension. Wash the remaining solids with saturated brine and ether. The solids were suspended in ether for several minutes under stirring. Filter solids. Dry solids. |
