Trimethylsilylpropiolate - Introduction
Trimethylsilylpropiolate, with the chemical formula (CH3)3sic ≡ CCOOC(CH3)3, often abbreviated as TMSPAA or TMSPA, is an organosilicon compound.
Nature:
1. Appearance: colorless liquid.
2. Melting Point:-64 ℃.
3. Boiling point: About 160 ℃.
4. Density: about 0.81 g/cm.
5. Solubility: Soluble in common organic solvents, such as ether, ketone, etc.
Use:
1. As a chemical reagent: TMSPAA can be used as a protective group and stabilizer in organic synthesis, for the synthesis of polymer compounds, drugs and catalysts.
2. As a silicon phase conversion agent: TMSPAA can be used for silicon phase conversion reactions in organic synthesis, such as silanization reaction, Silicon ether synthesis, etc.
Method:
The preparation of TMSPAA is generally carried out by the following steps:
1. Silyl chlorination: the reaction of trimethylchlorosilane with nucleophiles (such as sodium chloride or copper chloride) to generate trimethylchlorosilane.
2. To chlorination: sodium carbonate or copper carbonate is used to dechlorinate trimethylchlorosilane to obtain trimethylsilane.
3. Ethynylation: the reaction of trimethylsilane with acetylene acid ester to generate TMSPAA.
Safety Information:
1. TMSPAA has low toxicity, but it still needs to pay attention to reasonable use and storage.
2. Avoid contact with strong oxidants and strong acids to avoid dangerous reactions.
3. Use should wear protective glasses, gloves and protective clothing, maintain good ventilation laboratory conditions.
4. Such as misuse or skin contact, should be timely medical treatment.
5. Storage should be sealed to avoid contact with air, moisture and fire.
