| production method | 1. A solution of 20g of mercuric chloride (1) in 10 ml of concentrated hydrochloric acid and 300 ml of distilled water was prepared with zinc powder, and 100g of zinc powder (purity 95%) was added rapidly with stirring. The cake was stirred for 10-15 minutes and crushed and the mixture was filtered through a Buchner funnel. The zinc permanent powder was carefully washed with a total of 500 ml of distilled water containing a trace of hydrochloric acid, and the attached water was removed with ethanol and ethanol with diethyl ether. Most of the ether was removed in air. Zinc is best placed before all ether is removed. The amalgam powder is removed from the Buchner funnel and added to the mixture to be reduced to ensure minimal contact with air. 2. Made with mossy zinc in a liter of round-bottom flask containing 120 grams of mossy zinc, 12 grams of mercuric chloride (1), 200 ml of water and 5-6 mL of concentrated hydrochloric acid, the mixture was shaken for 5 minutes, the solution was poured off and washed as above. |
