| preparation | ethoxyformyl methyltriphenylphosphine bromide is prepared as follows: ethyl acetate (5.0 L) is added to triphenylphosphorus, ethyl bromoacetate (665g,4.01 mol) is added dropwise to the mixture under stirring, and after dropwise addition, the reaction mixture is stirred at room temperature for 24 hours. Then the mixture is pumped and filtered, and the filter cake is washed three times with ethyl acetate, 500 ml each time. The filter cake was vacuum dried to obtain ethoxyformyl methyltriphenylphosphine bromide [Ph 3 PCH 2 CO 2 Et]+ Br- (1500g) white solid with 92% yield. |
