1-Boc-3-(1-hydroxy-1-methylethyl) azetidine is an organic compound with the chemical name tert-butoxycarbonyl-3-(1-hydroxy-1-methylethyl)-piperidine. The following is a description of the properties, uses, preparation and safety information of the compound:

- 1-Boc-3-(1-hydroxy-1-methylethyl) azetidine can be used as a protecting group in organic synthesis. After completion of the reaction, the protecting group can be removed by appropriate conditions to give the target compound.

- 1-Boc-3-(1-hydroxy-1-methylethyl) azetidine is generally synthesized by a two-step reaction.
1. First, acridine is reacted with 1-hydroxy -1-methyl ethanone to produce 3-(1-hydroxy -1-methyl ethyl) azetidine.
2. Next, a tert-butoxycarbonyl protecting group was introduced into the resulting product to give 1-Boc-3-(1-hydroxy-1-methylethyl) azetidine.
