Descriptions | Photoinitiator 2959 is an efficient and non yellowing UV initiator used to initiate UV polymerization reactions in unsaturated prepolymer systems, particularly suitable for acrylic and unsaturated polyester resins that require low odor and water-based properties. The active hydroxyl groups in the photoinitiator 2959 molecule can easily react with unsaturated resins. Suitable for conventional UV systems, the hydroxyl functional groups in its molecules enhance the solubility of photoinitiator 2959 in water-based coating formulations, making it suitable for water-based UV formulations. Photoinitiator 2959 has been tested and can be used in UV curing formulations for wood, metal, plastic, and paper surfaces. The hydroxyl functional groups in the molecules enhance the solubility of photoinitiator 2959 in water-based coating formulations. Photoinitiator 2959 has lower volatility and odor compared to photoinitiator 1173. Importantly, the active hydroxyl groups of photoinitiator 2959 are easily grafted onto polymer molecules, making their processing more convenient. Due to its unique performance, photoinitiator 2959 is particularly recommended for UV formulations that require evaporation of moisture through high temperature and airflow before curing. Recommended dosage: 2-5% |
