Descriptions | 2- (tert butylamino) ethyl methacrylate is an organic compound with the chemical formula C1H19NO2. This compound is usually liquid and has a melting point below 7 degrees Celsius, with a boiling point of around 93 degrees Celsius (1.33 kPa, 1 millimeter of mercury). The relative density of this substance is about. 914, and the refractive index is 1.44. It is soluble in general organic solvents, but only slightly soluble in water. Ethyl 2- (tert butylamino) methacrylate is commonly used as a polymerization inhibitor by adding 0.1% hydroquinone monomethyl ether. Prepared by ester exchange reaction between methyl methacrylate and tert butyl aminoethanol. It can also be obtained by direct esterification reaction between methacrylic acid and tert butyl aminoethanol. Used as a modifier for polymer materials. Preparation of crosslinking agents for thermosetting coatings, adhesives, as well as lubricant additives and pigment colorants. |
